moonrocks and edible crystals
I made these treats for the little kids on my block for Valentine’s day and they were impressed! Especially the little ones who have dreams of being future scientists. Not only are these treats free of artificial dyes (my daughter’s friend is sensitive to dyes) but they taste delicious! There is nothing cooler than eating crystals that are homemade and edible!
It reminds me of my first experience at the Clarke-Hansen Planetarium in Salt Lake City, Utah that I visited on a field trip in third grade. Not only was the space show in the giant planetarium phenomenal, but my first taste of rock candy in the gift shop we visited after solidified a core memory in my young mind.
Maybe I can create a core memory in these tiny future astronauts in my life with their first taste of “moonrocks and edible crystals”!
