Resin flower crafts
Lately I have had an abundance of loose dried and pressed flower petals.
Some of them were still attached to the flower and were perfectly round, perfectly preserved, and utterly cherubic. They deserved a higher purpose.
And my perfectly-pressed pink little English daisy ladies… They also need to be appreciated and not shut away in a leather-bound pressing book.
I decidedly pulled out my thinnest crafting wire in a rose gold tone. My favorite.
And squeezed them into little secure loops. Everything in life feels a little more secure and happy after a little squeeze…
I dabbed some hot glue on their cute little bottoms…
Mix up a tiny batch of your favorite resin. This is low fume resin and compared to my previous resin experiences is truly a luxury to use. As I can use it inside in the middle of winter with no venting and barely notice a scent.
Pull out an old paintbrush that you can reserve for this purpose.
Delicately (emphasis on delicate) paint each flower, front and back, with resin.
Allow to dry on a flat surface (I use an old cutting board so I can transport it to dry, safe places so it can dry.
I use plastic wrap for it to dry on and it doesn’t stick.
