Lacey Halloween bat garland
Originally to make the bat garland I was going to use a large black poster board and draw and cut out bat shapes. Luckily, I found a package of purple foam bats at the Dollar Tree which saved me a ton of time and cost the same.
I also used some twine that I had on hand and used the the orange twine in the above picture for a different project since it was too short.
These paper lace doilies are seriously my new favorite thing and I can think of a thousand uses for them. Thirty for one dollar is outrageous!
Simply pick any size of lace doily and hold it up to your bat to decide which angle looks best on the little bat’s wings.
Then dot some glue on the back of the doily and press onto the bat.
Snip around and clean up the edges.
Use a hole puncher on the outer wings so they can hang.
Then thread some jute rope twine through to make garland!
Those are they prettiest bats I’ve ever seen!!
