Hi!

Welcome to my little space.

This cute boy shirt has a funny story behind it. I was at the Walmart clearance section in the little boys' department and saw this shirt and immediately had to buy it.

For one thing, it was on sale for only $3 but also because I think that little boys look ridiculously cute in raglan. Of course I bought it on the pretense that my little boy would hate it because it's not red or yellow or whatever his favorite color is this week. Buuut I bought it anyway and it turned out to be his favorite shirt that he has worn every day since. White is such a bad color for little kids to wear because there is a 101% chance that they will dirty it with every. single. wear. Well this kid is no exception and has literally stained it with every single wear. But guess what? It is still as white as the day I bought it! In fact, he's worn it so many times that it actually has holes from being washed so many times... But no stains!! Let me share with you my secrets...

But first. This is my before. This shirt had blue Koolaid stains, ketchup stains, red paint stains, and other random and unknown items.

I simply spritz on some hydrogen peroxide.

Sprinkle on some baking soda (not measured, just until it's lightly covered).

And if I'm feeling a little apprehensive then I lightly drizzle on some Dawn dish soap. Done. Then I fold it inwards and put it in the laundry basket to sit for a few days until wash day. On wash day I through it in the washer with the rest of his laundry and wash on warm.

This simple trifecta of totally inexpensive household items are literally a cleaning powerhouse. I have used this for blood stains, bbq sauce/ketchup stains, grease stains, grass stains, and the list goes on. You can also combine all three ingredients together to form a paste to rub out stains on carpets and white rugs.

And honestly, if more people were aware of their cleansing potential, I am convinced that most cleaning product brands would go out of business. It's funny because not only are they non-toxic to use around kids (assuming that they don't drink these ingredients) but they have been on shelves and in our grandmother's cabinets for years and years.

Seriously clean!

I didn't come by this on my own but since I've discovered it I have been shouting it from the rooftops!
