Pine branch Christmas Wreath
When life gives your pine branches, you should definitely make a Christmas door wreath.
It’s piney and smells wonderful for those guests who walk up to your door and knock. They get a false impression that they are getting whiffs of your fresh-smelling home. Which is great if you forgot to plug in your candle warmer and your house really isn’t all that fresh-smelling.
It smells like teen spirit in my house. Just kidding, more like toddler spirit. Which really just smells like anxiety and despair. Hey… I’m a realist.
For this project I found a large 20” wreath that I found at a yard sale.
Some copper wire
Wire cutters
Pine branches
Pre cut the wire to 12” strands, or more depending on the thickness of your wreath. I wasn’t sure how many I would need so I pre cut 8 of them. Cut the branches so they are close to uniform in length. Cut enough to cover the sides of the wreath as well.
Once you have the branches in place, use the wire and tightly wrap it around, and twist in the back to secure.
I like to bring the leftover part of the wire and fold and tuck on the edge of where the wreath will be laying so that it doesn’t scratch the door when it’s hanging.
Once you have it secured, move 4 inches down from the base and repeat.
Repeat and repeat until you finish where you started.
If your wreath is misproportioned you can easily tuck extra pine bough in the bare spots.
