Burgundy red and pink dried peony wreath

Today I was feeling a little inspired to take pictures. Its usually about this time of year (January) that the nostalgia of last summer’s faded flowers floods my mind.

Or perhaps I’m in desperate need for a an intense stimulation to my visual cortex? A flower compendium for my sad, winter-affected brain that feeds on pictures of peonies in order to satisfy…

This is usually when I pull out my collection of dried flowers, stored in the crispness of the cool shed throughout the winter months, waiting to be enjoyed and appreciated for their delicate beauty.

But until the lightness and color of spring abound, this wreath will stave off the gloom.
