New Year's 2019!!!

New Year’s Eve is around the corner and I feel like the rest of the world is anticipating it with drunken fervor.

To be honest, I’ve started to hate New Year’s Eve.

One part of me wants to celebrate the way that I used to. You know, stay up until twelve with some delicious foods and watch the ball drop? But then the other part of me realizes that my kids will be up before sunrise no matter what.

NO MATTER EFFING WHAT.

So I decided that 8 pm is a good time for all of us in the house because the next year starts bright and early over here. Plus I’m not a big drinker and I thought that making glitter slime sounds funner anyway!!

GLITTER SLIME RECIPE

8 ozs glue

10 drops food dye

1/2 sp baking soda

~mix very well~

3 tbsp contact solution

Glitter

~ mix in ~

We also put confetti in balloons and wrote 2019 on the outside with gold marker. That was a big hit with kids 4 yrs and under. Plus when they pop the confetti literally blows up everywhere so don’t try with glitter unless you want to experience the real meaning of a glitter bomb...

Then we had a donut and milk party. What kid doesn’t like donuts?? They were a dollar at the Dollar Tree for a pack of 16 of them, plus some cool sparkler candles. That was instant excitement, satisfaction, and gratification for that little 4 year-old in the picture. And it only cost me $1!!

This little girls loves chocolate already…

Then we made some delicious stuffed mushrooms…

Then we made some part crowns out of glitter paper…

Finally at 7 pm we lit fireworks with the kids and then whisked them off to bed at 8 pm. They were none-the-wiser. And… I didn’t wake up the next morning {at 7 am} by my kids, feeling hungover ;)
