Hi!

Welcome to my little space.

A few years ago my husband found out that his old math teacher, the one who he had been hounding for so long, was ready to sell his 1965 Chevy. When my husband was younger he used to service the truck when he worked at the local service station where the math teacher would bring it to. Also, my husband is good at math and his math teacher was a math teacher so I'm sure that helped. Anyway, they ended up bargaining at $800. I guess you can't call the truck in official "mint" condition but, damn, it's pretty close to that. It's completely original and has only needed minor repairs on our end and still drives like a 1965 dream.

So then a year later when we saw a vintage 1965 Jet travel trailer that totally matched the 1965 truck, I wanted it. We ended up bargaining with the seller for $400. It needed a little TLC. We had to repair some of the walls on the inside and replace the pump for the sink. I sewed some pink and green polka-dot curtains with fringe. The walls are an original blonde wood color and it even has it's original tin backsplash and retro light covers.

I love enameled dishes (aka camping dishes) and there's just enough room in each small drawer for the plates and cups.

Then I added a few other odds and ends that I got from yard sales to give the camper some character and be functional when we are camping.

A pretty Black mirror for use and decoration.

A cute fruit cookie jar to fill with treats.

A whole mess of pots and pans that clatter every time you step into the trailer.

And simple wooden dish drying rack from Ikea.
