DIY Goo gone
I found these vintage white and blue-rimmed enameled plates on Ebay for a good deal and decided to buy them. They are very lightweight, practical, and won't break if my kids drop them. The seller mentioned that they had previously found them at an Estate sale.
When I received them I noticed that they had that really sticky sticker residue that doesn't wash off with a simple dishwashing. I don't normally keep Goo Gone on hand and never buy it. Instead I use two simple household ingredients that work just as well.
Simply drizzle on some dish soap.
Then sprinkle on some baking soda.
Third... Add a bit of elbow grease, then rub, rub, rub.
Rinse off and ta-da!! Good as new- or old- whichever you prefer.
