Three Piece Christmas Photo Shoot Setup
Sometimes I tend to overcomplicate things… Some times.
But not this time.
This super simple Christmas photo shoot setup was brought to you by:
A wooden fence.
A pine-y Christmas wreath
A chair.
I was inspired by this wreath that I had quickly put together the day before from leftover tree clippings.
It was morning time, before naps, and my kids were still happy and chipper.
I was having a reasonably good hair day.
And the lighting outside was overcast and just right…
Did I mention I do all of this with an automatic timer?? Yep. I literally stand there holding the baby with one hand while fumbling with the camera settings with the other. Also I run into big problems trying to photograph my little kids with a DSLR. Once I get the settings right, and all of us in front of the camera, then the kids are getting impatient so I start snapping… everything’s looking good... Later that night I review the pictures only to find that the pictures were too blurry. Ugh.
Anyway, I’m still learning.
So when the lighting is in my favor is when I push my kids out the door with the eight minute window of time that I have.
Now to have us all in the same frame, focused, and looking forward simultaneously… Well you’re just asking for too much.
